听到别人说“You got me”可不要直接翻译成“你得到我”，以为这是一句情人间的告白，一起和皮卡丘来看看真正的意思吧

1、“You got me（there）” 是什么意思？

英文词典里是这样解释的：

used to say that one doesn't have an answer, solution, etc.

即：用来表达一个人没有答案、解决方案等。

You got me（there）=你把我难到了；你把我问住了

也可以说成“You've got me (there)”

例：

That's a good question. You got me there.

这是个好问题。你把我难倒了。

2、“get it”和“got it”到底哪个是“明白了”？

如果你明白了一些之前不明白的事情，比如知识、技能要点...等。并想让对方知道，你明白他的意思了，你就可以说“I get it”

比如当你的英语老师给你解释了一个语法问题，你若听懂了，就可以说“I get it”

例：

A: Do you understand what I'm saying?

你理解我说的吗？

B: I get it.

我懂了。

I got it是I've got it的省略形式，表达的是：“我知道了，我记住了”，对应的是不用去深入理解的事情

比如老师让你明天交作业你想说知道了，就可以说“I got it”

例：

A: You have to submit the scripts today.

你今天要上交脚本。

B: I got it.

我知道了。

3、“get a life”是什么意思？

来看英文词典对get a life的解释：

If you tell someone to get a life, you are expressing frustration with them because their life seems boring or they seem to care too much about unimportant things.

即：如果你跟某人说：get a life，你是在表达对他们的失望，因为他们的生活似乎很无聊或他们似乎太在意一些不重要的事情。

所以get a life的意思是：别那么无聊（做点有趣、有意思的事）；好好享受生活

例：

Don't tell me you're cleaning the house on a Saturday night. Get a life!

不要告诉我你周六晚上还在打扫房间，做点有趣的事吧。

4、“get at sb” 和”get off sb's back“

get at sb 的意思是”反复批评，不断指责（某人）“

例：

He keeps getting at me and I really don't know what I've done wrong.

他不断指责我，我真不知道自己做错了什么。

而get off sb's back 则是：used to tell someone to stop criticizing you 用来告诉别人不要再批评你了

常用get off my back表达：少啰嗦；别再烦我

例：

Why don't you get off my back! I'm doing my best.

你能不能别再烦我了？我尽力了。

「You get me!」、「I got you!」、「You got me there!」、「He will get his!」這四句口語是美國人常掛在嘴邊的慣用語，它們乍聽起來十分相像，意思卻大不相同，若是沒有注意前後文，常讓人傻傻分不清。

1) You get me／I get you = 你懂我的意思／我瞭解
You get me 就是「你懂我的意思」，等同 You understand what I’m saying. 另外，也可以用 I get you表示「我瞭解／我懂」的意思。
蘇珊：「我們夫婦倆需要買一間臨近捷運站的公寓。」
Susan：“My husband and I need to buy an apartment close to the MRT station.”
房地產經紀人：「我瞭解。」The real estate agent：“I get you.”

2) You got me／I got you = 被你發現了／我發現了
當get改成用過去式got，you got me或 I got you就會變成「被你發現了／我發現了」的意思。這兩句話多半用在比較輕鬆、幽默的情境，不帶有嚴肅地指責。有時，也可以譯為「被你得逞了」。請看以下情境：
芭比：「你是不是對我說謊了？」Barbie：“Did you just tell me a lie?”
比爾：「哈，被妳發現了，妳真厲害。」Bill：“Ha, you got me. You are great.”

3) You got me there! = 我不知道、你考倒我了
「我不知道」除了I don’t know, I have no idea, It beats me，還可以說You got me there. 意思是你所問的問題把我考倒了。但要注意這個用語不適合對長輩或上司說喔！
姍蒂：「那是誰的雨傘？」Sandy：“Whose umbrella is that?”
錢德勒：「我不知道，我以前從沒看過那把傘。」Chandler：“You got me there. I’ve never seen it before.”

4) Get his/hers = 他／她應有的報應
前三個例子，多半牽涉到「理解」或「發現」，而get his／hers 則是指「得到他／她應得的報應」。
那個壞蛋，拿走了能在他母親房裡找到的所有東西，我相信他不久就會有報應的。That bad guy got away with everything he could find in his mother’s room. I believe that he will get his just deserts before long.
