最近，动不动就听到小伙伴们说起“确认过眼神……” ，好像一不小心交换个眼神就什么都懂了。（捂脸）

其实在英文中，很少像中文里那样提到“眼神”这个概念，一般直接用“眼睛”来表达。比方说：eye contact (眼神交流)，再比如“忧郁的眼神”可以说melancholy/sad eyes又或者 give sb the evil eye指的是狠狠瞪视人家……

那么，各式各样的眼神，英文还有哪些不同表达呢？下面就请大家自行体会~

1. Stare

把眼睁大盯着人或者物看很长时间，就是这么个眼神。

例：She gave him a long stare but didn't answer his question.
她盯着他看了好久，但是没回答他的问题。

2. Wink

眨眼，尤其是朝着别人眨眼时，不是因为眼里进了沙子，而是在向对方传递某种私密的信息，大家自己查收确认一下吧~

例：He told her that he was working late, then gave me a wink.
他告诉她自己工作到很晚，然后冲我眨了眨眼。

3. Glare

如果有人给你这样的眼神，说明TA应该是怒了。

例：She responded to the reporters' questions with an angry glare.
她满眼怒火回答了记者们的提问。

4. Give sb the eye

又回到eye这个词上，没有形容词做修饰，这究竟是个什么样的眼神呢？这个短语其实表达的是用爱慕的眼神看着某人 ，类似的“抛媚眼”、“送秋波”英文还可以说give the glad eye to sb。

例：Several men were giving her the eye across the bar.
有几个男人在酒吧里对她暗送秋波。

聊完了梗的来历，下面尽尽我这个英语老师的本分，带着大家死磕一下“确认过眼神”如何用英文表达出来？

首先，你得知道“眼神”用英语怎么说。

其实这是一个困扰大家很久的问题，一些英语基础不错的同学也无从下手，于是就有了下面“急中生智”的一幕：

其实，“眼神”的英语不用想得很复杂，简简单单一个look就可以表达。

截图中“坚定的眼神”的英语说法，可以表达为 a stern look。另外，look的词性比较灵活，既可用作名词也可用作动词，比如：

1. 不要用那样的眼神看着我。

Don’t give me that look. （名词）

2. 警察用怀疑的眼神看着他。

The policeman gave him a suspicious look. （名词）

3. 她那种失望的眼神让我心痛。

Her disappointed look made my heart ache. （名词）

4. 他看我的眼神，就像我是一个恶毒的女人。

He looked at me as if I were an evil woman.（动词）

5. 我们交换了一下眼神，快速地冲出去。

We looked at each other, and rushed out quickly.（动词）

另外，“眼神”还可以被诠释为“眼睛里的东西”，英语可以说成：something in one’s eyes，或者用名词性从句，比如 what I can see in one’s eyes，这是一种更讨巧、也更书面化的说法。 比如：

1. 他眼神告诉我，一切都会变好的。

From what I can see in his eyes, I know everything will be OK.

2. 在他的眼神中，我看到了坚定、睿智和希望。

I can see something in his eyes：determination, wisdom and hope.

再回到本文的标题，“确认过眼神”用英语怎么说？ 如果直译为 I have confirmed your eyes 就会显得非常中式。“确认过眼神”不能单独翻出来，一定要结合上下文一起处理。就拿这句话举例子吧：
